What does Building Bridges do?

Building Bridges identifies the needs in your community, assesses the resources available and then brokers connections between the people and the resources they need.  Building Bridges benefits other non-profit organizations, provides music education for the schools, and provides recognition and public awareness opportunities for important issues, individuals and organizations.  You can go to the following links to see some of the programs for Building Bridges:

  • Mission & Purpose:  This is what the IRS has authorized Building Bridges to do for its non-profit objectives.  Wording of this section is taken from the 1023 IRS application for non-profit status.

  • Programs & Services:  This  describes active Building Bridges programs, with examples of what has been done in the past.

I have something else to donate, how do I go about it?

Building Bridges does not maintain a warehouse for storing donated goods.  If you want to donate an item to Building Bridges, you will need to find a dealer who can move, display and sell it for Building Bridges, once it has been donated.  You will receive the tax deduction for the donation.  The dealer will pay Building Bridge for the item (either before or after it is sold, depending upon arrangements).  In the future, Building Bridges may develop contacts with dealers who can do this for them, but right now, pianos are the only donation that Building Bridges already has people in place to handle.  If you have a donation you want us to consider, email us at Donate
