Piano Finders® (aka Piano Finder) offers hundreds of pages of free information for piano buyers, sellers, owners, technicians, piano teachers and piano rebuilders. It also provides people an opportunity to buy and sell pianos and services.
This is our Privacy Policy Agreement. It details what we do to protect the personal information you enter into our website.

- Our Commitment To Privacy: Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
- The Information We Collect: This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Piano Finders websites. On some pages,
you can order products, make requests, and register to receive materials.
- Listing Service: When you post a listing on our website, you enter content that you want to write for the public to read. This information is posted for the public to read.
- Registration as a Piano Finders Member: When you register to use our listing service, you will enter the following personal information about yourself, so that we can identify you: user name, first name, last name, email address, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, your website URL. This information is not posted on our site for the public to see, but is available only to the Piano Finders administrator through password protected access on our server. Your user name and password are sent to you by email immediately upon your registration.
- Create a Piano Finders Store Account: When you buy something online at our Piano Finders store, you will enter the following information about yourself so that we can process your order. User name, password, first name, last name, email address, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, Date of Birth, your website URL, and Shipping Address. If you are paying online, you will enter the appropriate information for the method of payment you choose. For example, when paying by credit card, you would enter: Name on Credit Card, Card Number, Expiration Date
- Contracts: When you submit a contract online, the following information is collected as part of the form you complete: first name, last name, address, phone, fax, email, information about the piano you are buying or selling, terms and conditions of the contract. Some examples of contract can be found as follows: When you click the "I Agree" button at the bottom of the contract, two things happen. First you will see a confirmation form that has all the information you just entered and the contract terms on your browser. This page is only available to you and after you have printed it for yourself, it does not remain on the server. Second, all the information you entered in the form will be sent by email to the Piano Finders Administrator notifying us that you have submitted a contract and what the terms are.
- Email: There are several links throughout our site which allow you to contact us by email. All of the information you enter will be forwarded to us by email.
- Mail a Friend: You can mail a link to a friend from our Piano Finders Store and our Listings pages to notify them of
something that you want them to see.

We simply collect the email address of the friend and the subject of the message and send a one time message, as you have indicated.
- The Way We Use Information: We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order or
post a listing. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order or post the listing.

We offer gift-cards by which you can personalize a product you order for another person. Information you provide to us to create a gift-card is only used for that purpose, and it is only disclosed to the person receiving the gift.

Among other reasons why we use cookies, cookies allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. Cookies can also help us provide information that is targeted to your interests.

If you choose to post on our Listing Service: for the public to view, we will collect such information about you as you choose to disclose.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Site, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.
We use information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Site, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our Member Agreement. At times, we may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes, and in particular on rare occasions we may evaluate your information to look for users using multiple User IDs or aliases.
You can register with our website if you would like to receive updates on our new products and services and our newsletter. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you check the appropriate checkbox on your Piano Finders Member registration form, if it is available. You may remove yourself from our list by contacting us with your request.
We will not disclose any private information about you to third parties without your consent [unless such information is lawfully subpoenaed or we are required by order of a court of competent jurisdiction]. Due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability. Therefore, although we use industry standard practices to protect your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personally identifiable information or private communications will remain private in the cases mentioned above.
Suppliers and Other Service Providers. We may use third party Suppliers and Service Providers to facilitate our services. For example, we may outsource the operations of one or more aspects of our site to a Supplier or Service Provider who performs services according to our requirements. In some instances, the Service Provider may collect information directly from you (such as the situation where you submit payment for our services through a secure payment site). By entering into our User Agreement, you agree that, with respect to other user's personally identifiable information that you obtain through the Site or through a Piano Finders related communication or Piano Finders-facilitated transaction, Piano Finders hereby grants to you a license to use such information only for: (a) Piano Finders-related communications that are not unsolicited commercial messages, (b) any other purpose that such user expressly opts into after adequate disclosure of the purpose(s). In all cases, you must give users an opportunity to remove themselves from your database and a chance to review what information you have collected about them. In addition, under no circumstances, except as defined in this Section, can you disclose personally identifiable information about another user to any third party without our consent and the consent of such other user after adequate disclosure. Note that law enforcement personnel, and other rights holders are given different rights with respect to information they access.
Piano Finders and our users do not tolerate Spam (Spam is unsolicited commercial e-mail). Therefore, without limiting the foregoing, you are not licensed to add a Piano Finders member even a user who has purchased service or product from you - to your mail list (email or physical mail) without their express consent after adequate disclosure.
We use the information that a buyer or seller provides to us about a transaction they have conducted with each other for the purpose of assessing the appropriate Piano Finder s fees and commissions they have agreed to as well as for paying any participants who have helped in the sales transaction and are owed commissions from us. We do not share this information with outside parties.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser you are using, and your IP address. - Control of Your Passwords: Except as specifically permitted by this section, you may not disclose your Piano Finders password to any third parties nor share it with any third parties. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password.. You may, however, disclose your password to certain third parties with whom Piano Finders has entered into specific contractual and technical arrangements designed to safeguard your password ("Authorized Password Users"), in order to enjoy the benefits of those third parties' services in relation to the Piano Finders services.

We have this site protected with a SSL certificate to encrypt the information you enter for added security. When you process your payment, your payment information is sent to our bank through Authorizenet.com so the amount you have paid can be deposited directly to the Piano Finders bank account. An email containing only your name, address and phone number and the amount you have paid is sent in confirmation to you and to Piano Finders to verify that a payment has been made. Your checking account number and bank routing number are not sent to you or to us by email, so as to protect your privacy.
